About Us

My name is Carl Nixon and I established Excel-Expert.com in the summer of 2009 to help companies big and small with their spreadsheet and data analysis needs.

The Excel Expert quickly cemented its self an impressive international reputation for quality and service, with clients from all over Europe, Asia and the United States. Our clients range from the small one-man operations through to international universities and corporations such as Pepsi Co.

Prior to establishing Excel Expert I spent over 20 years as a data and systems analyst for one of the UK’s largest insurance companies and a major utility company. During this time, I seemed to spend most of my life working on spreadsheets, building spreadsheets and creating in depth reports.

As a result of all this time spent working with data, spreadsheets and reports, I have built up a level expertise in Excel, which simply could not have gained from the classroom or from books.

The aim of Excel-Expert.com is to help businesses make the most of their data without any of the usual hassles of manually gathering data and forming it in to a useable format. Our bespoke tools already save our clients hundreds, even thousands, of man-hours a year.

Away from Excel, most of my spare time is spent either raising money for children’s charities or campaigning for children’s rights. Because of this work, I was one of the first civilians allowed in to war torn Kosovo to work with children there. More recently, I was actively involved in getting Bulgaria to help the countries growing abandoned children population. This year I am looking to organise a number of film premieres to raise funds for some local children’s charities.
